Willow Michaels is a character that I remember from the previous book in The Cowboy series I liked seeing how a Hard of Hearing woman fit herself into the world of cowboys rodeos and bull riding Of course the glimpse we saw of her in the first book was small compared to what we see of her in this oneI must confess that while I loved Willow's character in this book and appreciated her strength as well as her uest to learn to allow herself to be vulnerable with the right people at the right time this was a difficult read for me I think that was because Brenda Minton wrote so well about Willow's hearing loss and the possibility that she might face complete deafness I am facing those kind of things myself right now and I suppose the topic hit a bit close to homeAll in all I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next book in the series

enjoyed the down to earth characters most of us struggle no matter what our bank account balances or our lineage nor we ALL struggle w insecurities and limitations of SOME kind i could REALLY relate to the female male character going thru some health problems of my own that make me fear losing my husband andor being of no use as a mother etc it's something i have to fight hard on the bad days felt good to be reminded that i am NOT the only one in that club was even nicer to have reminders that not ALL people are like the Brad's of the world either

This book is amazingThis book taught me a lotOne of my best friends are deaf so it really brought a new outlook on how she lives everyday without being able to hear correctly You should read this book if you enjoy a romance novel with a good hearted cowboy that loves to protect his sweetheart

To me this was a little boring Not saying that the plot of the story was bad but the 'everything turns out okay in the end' theme put me off a little because real life doesn't work out that way But I do like that the heroine suffers from hearing loss making her real and less a stereotypical heroine who exemplifies perfection with only minor problems to deal with
