What a strange little book It jumped around way too much for my taste and the very first page had the ewww factor going on so strong that I almost decided not to even bother reading the book Plus I found it hard to get past all the typos and sentences that made no sense because it seemed a word or words were left outDon't waste your time with this one

A series of erotic adventures set in Italy and England during the time of Mussolini' s rise to power Several women Cia Dianna Angelina and Belle have sexual adventures with various men throughout the novel At times the story is disjointed a bit but true love is found for the main character Cia in the end with the love of her youth

This landed here in the Alps as the end of a ray and somehow got shelved with my other steamier books I didn't realize its status as a bookcrossing book which could be offered for further travel until I pulled it from the shelf several weeks ago For some reason perhaps because of the multiple sub plots I found it very difficult to get into this one I would read for a little for a night or two and then feel interested in continuing my day time books Perhaps if I'd stuck with it I would have enjoyed it as the writing wasn't bad and the setting fairly unusual although only ever so slightly alluded to occasionally I think it was just too haphazard and the characters did not strike me as credible in the least Except for Hector perhaps Grateful nonetheless for the opportunity to have read this and will offer it to travel on

I began reading this novel with interest as the story's historical setting seemed promising at first Somewhere along the line the plot begins to falter as if the author didn't know in which direction to go The plot zigzags here and there from the UK to Italy to Switzerland; the focus is on disparate characters with different motivations Sometimes the tone is serious sometimes it's just farce; there's no thematic unity In several instances the plot is poorly thought out When there's nowhere else for the protagoniststory to go in walks a stranger to get things rolling again
