    Holly hell Riley Mackenzie completely blew me away with this book These two authors are incredibly gifted Beautifully Awake was my first book by them and I absolutely adored it This book is still at the top of my favorite books and I read it than three times already Since then I read all of their books and each time they managed to touch the deepest recesses of my heart delivering a tale that steals my breath away And Abruption was no exceptionWhen I met Guy for the first time in Beautifully Aware I fell hard for him And now after reading this book I’m definitely in love with him Guy is a general surgeon and a single father taking care of his four years old daughter and his three years old son with special needs of medical attention He’s fully dedicated to his two adorable children he loves than anything Guy is a wonderful father and human being struggling with the aftermath that derailed his life four years ago Until Jules walks into his life to show him the lightJules is his son's new nurse She is just as amazing She’s a protective loving and resilient woman The tragedy that she survived has changed her and the career choice she made was her reason to go on When life offers her what she has always longed for the void inside her stops reminding her of all she has lost They were both two kind hearted characters I have ever come across This book kept me engrossed in its every word there were so many moments that ripped my heart right out of my chest I ached for Guy and his son Finn Every facet of Guy and Jules’s story left me breathless overwhelmed and overflowing with emotions It was one of the hardest books to move away from in the end This is a story about new beginnings and about the endurance of the human spirit and its ability to heal itself when surrounded by true loveAccording to the authors’ bio I do confirm that they definitely share a brain Together they really have the uncanny ability to create little gems I wholeheartedly recommend this exuisitely written story to everyone Truly beautiful

    4 StarsOverall Opinion This was a sweet sexy and entertaining read I loved the interactions with the kids and it made me so grateful that my kiddos are healthy I cannot imagine the struggles these types of parents go through and I was so happy they got such a sweet HEA Even though it has the potential for being depressing I never felt it was I also never felt that the h was second best She became such a major part of the H's life and I felt like he really did care for her as his one and onlyBrief Summary of the Storyline This is Jules and Guy's story They meet when Jules is assigned as Guy's son's new nurse They don't hit it off right away but after clearing up some bad first impressions they start dating Both of them have past demons that haunt them and they need each other to get through their troubles There are some sweet moments with Guy's kids some sexy times some crazy family moments and some shocking dramabut they get a HEA endPOV This alternated between Jules and Guy's POVOverall Pace of Story Good I never skimmed and I thought it flowed wellInstalove No I felt like it was sufficient time for stronger feelings to developH rating 4 stars Guy He was a jerk at first but then he became sweet and caring I loved his relationship with his kidsh rating 4 stars Jules I really liked how strong she was and how she loved the H and both of his kidsSadness level Lowmoderate I never needed tissues but this covers some heavy themesPushPull Minimal view spoiler At first the H gets off to a bad start because he is stressed out about his sick son but he soon comes around and pursues the h The h takes a little while before she shared her traumatic past with the H and this causes some emotional separation for a little while hide spoiler

    ☆ I received an ARC via Love Between the Sheets in exchange for an honest review Thank you ☆Two individuals both not a stranger to heartbreak and loss come together in this unforgettable story that left me a little tearyI’ve always loved reads that circle around the importance of love and family and this book has it in every single breath of itJules is a woman carrying an unbearable suffrage that only those who have experienced it can imagine And Guy hah what a name is man carrying the world on his shouldersWhen both meet through Finn one of Guy’s children and also Jules’ new patient—Guy and Jules find themselves whisked away on a tumultuous attractionAlong with finally confronting heart wrenching grief loss budding friendship and the thrall of falling in loveIt was not an easy partnership that’s for sure Each have hang ups and heavy real life issues on their plates With Guy being a doctor a father to one healthy and one ailing child and a tragedy on his back And Jules being scarred beyond compare it was uite a trek watching them open themselves to the other and learning how to heal from their pastsGuy and Jules are absolute perfection and most certainly “soul mates” in every sense of the word Authors Riley Mackenzie did an astounding job bringing these characters to life and bringing home the vulnerability of valid predicaments and how in the end there is always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how bleak things may getGawd this book was a gem

    “I love you the mostest of everyone so can I updopt you too?” This book drained me physically and emotionally It was tragically beautifulStory wise this book wasn't as angsty as I thought it would be And I liked it I liked that it's still as original as only Riley Mackenzie can do I guess the saying 'two heads are better than one' is true after all The only concern I have was in the entire book I have absolutely no idea how old Guy is it's frustrating But he's gotta be in his early 30s right? But if anyone knows please tell me I might go crazy not knowingI was completely sad when we didn't have crossovers except for Sam Petit which wasn't really counted because he's only a minor character from Beautifully Awake I'm cruel I know But I was dying to see Dr Chase Colton again Sad sighI couldn't believe this is the same Guy that I knew and adored from Beautifully Awake He's serious and broody here A total three sixty from his former laidback and cheery self “No minutes no leaving” Jules on the other hand was a strong and undoubtedly brave main character She's very likeable None of those heart eyed deer in headlights Stepford type of women She's independent and not afraid to speak her mind when needs must I couldn't ask for a better heroine for our hero howlsThe minute I read the synopsis and learned that this is gonna be about Guy I knew I had to read it before Beautifully Done It was a risky decision but it was worth it My precious little beans Finn and Max and Raffy and Tommy were totally worth it Read this You're welcome ;
